Welcome to Extravagant Underground!
Well it's been an exciting new year for us here in the world of EX:U. We are now settled in Edinburgh and working very hard on bringing EX:U to the world. We have had a lot of support through PSYBT and Business Gateway over the last few months, and are using this support to develop EX:U
We are happy to report that EX:U has been accepted on NESTA's Starter For Six. An exciting program, NESTA offers business training, guidance and support to innovative businesses.
We have also been talking with our friends at FREAK and are pleased to announce that EX:U will be taking part in FREAK's TAA Exhibition later this year. Temporary Autonomous Art brings a range of art forms to run down areas of cities. There have been several projects across the country and also in Europe. The exhibitions revitalise disused buildings, filling them with art, fashion, music, dance, workshops and just about anything else creative you can think of. Social inclusion is a strong theme throughout the TAA events, so check it out, come along and tell everyone you know!
And finally the BIG NEWS! EX:U now has a store on Etsy, a fantastic site where you can find all kinds of amazing hand crafted products by artists working in a wide range of media. We are currently adding more items from the diffusion range of our forthcoming Arctic Allure Collection. Please check it out and feel free to contact us if you are interested in commissioning something similar to the items in the shop.

Tomorrow we officially move to Edinburgh! This marks the true beginning of Extravagant Underground. We've been tying up various loose ends here in Cumbria and we're looking forward to starting afresh, meeting new people and really getting EX:U on the map! Our new contact details have been updated here
In other news we're taking part in Freak, a collective exhibition and community project set up by a range of artists in Edinburgh. Check out the site here: Edinburgh Temporary Autonomous Art EX:U will be involved with the fashion side of the event taking place on the Saturday. This is a fantastic endeavour, bringing the community together to bring life to a disused space, and includes workshops and activities for adults and children alike. If you are around Edinburgh at the time do go check it out!
Well we finally did it! The website is up after a great deal of trouble. We've been working hard to get all this up over the last couple of months and have finally achieved a fully working site. Lots of areas of the site still need work, and more images will be added to the various galleries over the coming weeks.

EX:U are relocating! We're officially making the move up to Edinburgh, which will hopefully be the permenant residance of EX:U over the coming years. Edinburgh is a beautiful city with a thriving culture and tourist industry, which we believe will inspire us and help us to begin making our name in the world!
